Job Summary:

Academic Lead for Classes 6 to 10 plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of the academic program and promoting holistic student development. The coordinator focuses on curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, and academic monitoring, with a strong emphasis on enhancing student performance and preparing them for higher education. This role requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and school leadership to achieve academic excellence and student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Implementation:

Implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with board requirements (State or CBSE Board).

Ensure a seamless integration of academic concepts, co-curricular activities, and life skills in the curriculum.

Encourage activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven learning approaches.

Regularly update curriculum and teaching methodologies in line with emerging trends and best practices in education.

  1. Teacher Mentoring & Professional Enhancement Program:

Mentor and guide teachers in effective lesson planning, innovative pedagogy, and classroom management strategies.

Conduct classroom observations to ensure high teaching standards and provide constructive feedback.

Organize professional development programs, workshops, and in-service training sessions for teachers.

Promote collaboration among teachers to exchange best practices and innovative teaching strategies.

  1. Assessment & Academic Monitoring:

Oversee the design and implementation of assessment strategies for formative and summative evaluations.

Analyze student performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Work with teachers to develop and implement remedial programs for students requiring additional support.

Ensure that assessments promote conceptual understanding and higher-order thinking skills.

  1. Student Development & Support:

Monitor the overall academic, emotional, and social development of students.

Promote student engagement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure holistic development.

Work closely with counselors and teachers to address student concerns and challenges.

Encourage students to set academic goals and provide necessary guidance for achieving them.

  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure that academic practices meet board guidelines and school policies.

Monitor classroom activities and teaching quality to maintain high academic standards.

Implement strategies to bridge learning gaps and enhance overall student performance.

  1. Communication & Parent Engagement:

Serve as a key link between the CADD Heads, school leadership, teachers, and parents.

Help to organize parent-teacher meetings and workshops to discuss student progress and share academic plans.

Address parent queries and concerns, offering appropriate solutions and strategies for student success.

  1. Event Planning & Coordination:

Plan and coordinate academic and co-curricular events, including subject-based competitions, exhibitions, and special assemblies.

Encourage student participation in external competitions, Olympiads, and other enrichment programs.

  1. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of curriculum plans, assessments, and student performance.

Prepare regular academic reports for school leadership and suggest improvement strategies.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate or postgraduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related subject field (preferably Math & Science-Physics).

Minimum 5-10 years of teaching experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership.

In-depth understanding of middle and secondary school education and assessment practices (State or CBSE Board).

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Ability to mentor and inspire teachers, fostering a collaborative culture.

Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning.

Excellent skills in Implementing and Auditing the Academics of the school.
