WHAT'S THE ROLE

Our Accounting Operations Lead runs the engine room of our accounting group, bringing structure, accuracy, and calm to daily operations. As part of our core delivery model, this position shapes how we turn client data into reliable financial reports. The role holder designs and manages workflows that uphold quality standards, and ensures clients receive timely, consistent service.

The position brings order and reliability, giving our General Manager (FCCA qualified) time to lead and grow the business. Hands-on and globally connected, the role suits someone calm, client-focused and disciplined, turning systems into seamless, reliable delivery. The position offers autonomy and cross-border exposure, while helping shape systems that drive sustainable growth.

WHAT WILL I DO

You'll be the heartbeat of the accounting operation, turning moving parts into momentum and clarity. You'll bring order, reliability, and visibility to every project, so nothing slips, stalls, or surprises.

  • You'll keep the system flowing and build client confidence through structure and follow-through. By protecting the General Manager's focus, you'll help the business stay strategic and forward-looking.
  • Lead operational flow: Design and manage accounting workflows that keep work moving, uphold quality standards, and ensure clients receive consistent service.
  • Strengthen structure and visibility: Monitor job progress, deadlines, and delivery rhythms so leadership and clients always know where things stand.
  • Safeguard data integrity: Review financial records to maintain accuracy, reliability, and readiness for year-end compliance and reporting.
  • Collaborate across borders: Work with team members and clients in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom to maintain seamless coordination.
  • Support leadership: Keep information organised, and communication clear so the General Manager can concentrate on strategy and growth.
  • Improve how we work: Refine templates, procedures, and review steps that make our systems smarter, simpler, and more consistent over time.
