Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and motivated Agent-In-Charge (AIC) to support our management team and help lead daily dispensary operations. In this key leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day activities, ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations, and help cultivate an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will support operational efficiency, team development, inventory accuracy, and overall dispensary success.

The ideal candidate is a professional with a passion for cannabis retail and hospitality, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated Shift Lead during assigned shifts, overseeing daily dispensary operations.
  • Support management with operational responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance audits.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and daily support to dispensary staff, including budtenders, reception, and inventory personnel.
  • Assist with inventory management processes, including product intake, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records within the state tracking system (such as Metrc).
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by actively supporting the sales floor, resolving customer concerns professionally, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain accurate records related to sales activity, cash reconciliation, and customer transactions.
  • Ensure the dispensary remains clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times.
  • Communicate operational updates, policy changes, and expectations from management to staff members.
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing employee training to ensure staff remain informed on products, procedures, and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 1–2 years of retail experience with leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred, ideally within the cannabis industry.
  • Prior experience as a Shift Lead (6–12 months preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Illinois cannabis regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cannabis inventory software is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible to obtain an Illinois cannabis agent card and pass all required background checks.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Additional Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
