Role Overview
Heroix is collaborating with our Client in seeking a motivated and talented Architect to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about architecture and enjoys working on diverse projects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role involves contributing to design development, overseeing planning applications, and supporting project delivery from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Contribute to the creation and advancement of architectural projects from initial concepts to completion.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and presentation materials to clearly express design ideas and project intent.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality results.
  • Site and Project Oversight: Conduct site visits, assist with on-site inspections, and ensure that design implementation aligns with approved plans.
  • Research and Compliance: Evaluate materials, construction systems, and design solutions while ensuring compliance with local building regulations and planning requirements.
  • Planning Authority Applications: Prepare and submit applications to the Planning Authority, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and guidelines.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with current architectural trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • On-Site Support: Provide support during different stages of construction, with flexibility to work outside the office when necessary.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Malta, with a warrant to practise in Malta.
  • Experience: Proven experience in architectural design and project coordination, ideally within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required to succeed in this role. 
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to present ideas clearly and effectively through both visual and verbal communication.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Works well within a team setting, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and external partners.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software, with sound knowledge of Planning Authority guidelines, sanitary regulations, and CRPD requirements.
  • Organisation: Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Self-Motivated: Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues quickly and proposing effective, practical solutions.
