Job Summary

As a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager at GameStop, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to lead a team of sales associates and retail keyholders, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure exceptional guest experiences and sales growth. You'll be responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding promptly to guest inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the Store Manager in driving sales growth, developing sales strategies, and implementing visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Supervise and coach sales associates and retail keyholders, providing feedback, guidance, and support to ensure they're meeting performance expectations.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising products, as well as conducting inventory counts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment, adhering to company guidelines and standards.
  • Process transactions, including handling returns, exchanges, and guest complaints.
  • Develop and implement sales floor management strategies to ensure optimal staffing levels and guest service.
  • Approve payroll, enter paid time off, and verify that store associates are paid for all time worked.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to safety, security, and loss prevention.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or accredited bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred; at least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
