Job Description


For our US law firm located in California, we are looking to add experienced attorneys and paralegals to join our fast growing company and to help us manage our large and growing caseload.

We are a US law firm located in California that specializes in plaintiff’s side civil litigation. We are a tech-savvy firm with about 25 US attorneys, and nearly 100 paralegals and attorneys located in both India and the Philippines, all working remotely.

This is a work from home (remote) position. You can also choose to work from our office based in Ahmedabad, India.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As subject matter expert in the areas of plaintiff’s side civil litigation, this person will be responsible for:


  • The ideal candidate will be a team player, willing to take on any task that needs to get done without complaint, and self-motivated to keep yourself busy.

  • Being proficient in written English, you will be doing high level legal work, including drafting documents to be filed with the court.

  • Lead a variety of tasks, quickly evaluate alternatives, and provide top quality legal assistance and support.

  • This job description may not represent all duties of the position. The Counsel may be asked to perform other related duties, as needed.


Qualifications

  • JD from accredited law school.

  • At least 5 to 7 years of relevant legal experience.

  • Outstanding writing and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic team environment.

  • Strong background in legal representation.

  • Strong understanding of the plaintiff’s side civil litigation.


SKILLS:

  • Tech-savvy attorney or paralegal who works to find solutions to complex challenges.

  • Detail-oriented, possess strong ability achieve results, and have superior initiative.

  • High level of analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and the ability to solve problems proactively and with business acumen.

  • Excellent case, contract and agreement drafting and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to gain trust at and work with all levels of an organization.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues and concepts to non-lawyers.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and team members.
