Only individuals living in the Pacific time zone will be considered, with a preference for candidates residing in Southern California.</b></span></p><p></p><p></p><h1><b>Overview</b></h1><p></p><p>The Church Partnerships Relationship Specialist is an external facing, fundraising position. In collaboration with Relationship Managers, you will serve Compassion’s existing church partners and maximize the continued growth by providing excellent service, proactively identifying relevant partnership opportunities, and re-activating lapsed or dormant church partnerships. You will improve the effectiveness of the Church Partnerships team by interfacing with other internal teams and systems to better serve our church partners. This vital role, serving existing partners, increases the team’s capacity to pursue new church partnerships. <span>Sales and fundraising</span> are central to your role, and you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and detail-oriented project management, as well as the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.   </p><p></p><p></p><h1><b><span>What will you do?</span></b></h1><p></p><ul><li><p>Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintain a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.</p></li><li><p>Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.</p></li><li><p>Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core <a href="https://www.compassion.com/employment/christian-employment.htm#cultural_behaviors" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span class="emphasis-3">Cultural Behaviors</span></a>.</p></li><li><p>Perform church engagement activities to achieve team strategy in collaboration with marketing team members.</p></li><li><p>Interact with church pastors and other decision-makers to foster effective relationships and growth in increased acquisitions and giving potential.</p></li><li><p>Foster, nurture, and strengthen active, dormant, and/or lapsed church relationships to meet revenue and production goals.</p></li><li><p>Organize and help execute Church Group and Vision trips for the purpose of nurturing and cultivating church partnerships.</p></li><li><p>Report to churches through stewardship reports and maintain strong communication related to projects and a personalized affirmation program for prior gifts and involvement.</p></li><li><p>Operate within the approved budget, maintaining an accurate database, documenting activities and opportunities and following existing process and business rules and requirements. Provide required reports summarizing achievement of assigned objectives in accordance with approved processes.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><h1><b><span>What will you bring?</span></b></h1><p></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in a related field.</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills, displayed through written and verbal <span><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">communications.  </span></span></p></li><li><p>Comfortable within a team environment and collaborating with others to accomplish work. </p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively execute phone calls, host Zoom meetings, or engage in face-to face interactions with church partners. </p></li><li><p>Proactive work style; ability to navigate ambiguity to solve problems and execute complex tasks with minimal oversight.</p></li><li><p>Salesforce or other CRM software experience is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Ability to travel up to 20% of normal schedule which might include international travel. Travelers must follow the vaccination rule of each country they travel to.
