<strong>Overview<br><br></strong>CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.<br><br>We are a dynamic & centralized team of talented Legal professionals. The Contractor will be assisting in legal operations for CACTUS. One of the most exciting parts of this role is the opportunity to work on diverse assignments and exposure to various legal and compliance matters on a global scale making it a unique opportunity for dynamic legal professionals.<br><br><strong>Please note:</strong> This is a contractual role for 12 month duration.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Contract Management: </li><li>Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of legal agreements, including Master Service Agreements, Business Agreements, Vendor Agreements, NDAs, Settlement Agreements, RFPs, Term Sheets, lease deeds and other business-related contracts. </li><li>Optimize contract management processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance. </li><li>Provide expertise in managing contracts across international jurisdictions. </li><li>Stakeholder Management: </li><li>Act as a trusted legal advisor to internal business teams, providing guidance on various legal and compliance issues. </li><li>Work closely with external counsel and consultants for critical legal matters.  </li><li>Compliance and Policy Management: </li><li>Draft, implement, monitor, and advice on corporate policies & SOPs, ensuring that they align with Legal, regulatory and industry standards. </li><li>Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.  </li><li>Data Privacy & Protection: </li><li>Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, local privacy laws) and oversee the standardization of data handling practices across the company. </li><li>Freelancer (FL) / Independent Contractor (IC) Management: </li><li>Standardize contracts and policies for freelancers and independent contractors (FLs/ICs) </li><li>Prepare responses to any FL/IC-related queries. </li><li>Ensure all FL/IC agreements are legally sound and aligned with business objectives. </li><li>Technology Integration: </li><li>Identify opportunities to leverage technology to streamline and enhance processes/operations. </li><li>Leverage contract management tools to streamline processes and enhance legal operations. </li><li>Intellectual Property Rights: </li><li>Oversee protection, enforcement, and management of the company’s IP assets (copyrights, trademarks, and proprietary information) across jurisdictions. </li><li>Draft and review IP-related clauses, internal IP policies, copyright ownership statements, assignment agreements, brand usage guidelines, and confidentiality frameworks. </li><li>Prepare legal notices (e.g. copyright/take-down notices, cease-and-desist) and coordinate with external counsel on IP filings, renewals, oppositions, and infringement matters. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications And Prerequisites<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor of Law (LLB) with a minimum of 7-8 years of experience</li><li>Business Partnering, working closely with internal teams to address legal concerns and provide practical solutions that align with business objectives. </li><li>Fast closure and efficiency</li><li>Independently managing projects. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in international corporate and contractual laws. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities. </li><li>Highly motivated, independent, with a quality and results-oriented mindset. <br><br></li></ul>Application Process<br><br>Before applying, please ensure you meet the role requirements listed above and have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is advertised. Our selection process typically involves an initial screening by a recruiter, a technical assessment, and two to three interview rounds.
