About Client Client is a Rural tech firm which seeks to drive rural development and improve farmer livelihoods across 100mn agricultural households and 650 000 villages in India We provide innovative solutions to the agricultural and rural ecosystem throughworld class products and services and are always committed to meeting the needs and expectations of our farmers Through our Tech Platform we currently provide our farmers access to the wider market to sell their produce and help them transform agricultural practices Built specifically for farmers we believe our Farmer App is the only purpose built solution which allows direct access and engagement with farmers and will support multiple business lines that are part of our plans Job brief We are looking for an experienced Finance Director FD who will ideally be based out of NCR or Kolkata He she should be fluent in English and Hindi Bengali would be a plus The person will report directly to the CEO and Managing Director Co founders In addition to the more traditional role 0f managing reporting and accounts there would be a significant involvement in our evolving relationships with banks as our product lives develop Person should be positive about the use of technology our core platform is already integrated with Zoho for producing accounts He she will join a dynamic and fast paced environment and work with cross functional teams to support the roll out of new products that deliver the companys vision and strategy Responsibilities Manage a team of professionals with full responsibility for accounts compliance and tax reporting Work closely with the Operations team to ensure transactions expenses and other policies adhere to accounting standards Work closely with the Technology team to ensure that all transactions payments documentation is fully automated and integrated with single coherent systems Work with co founders executives to operationalise different business lines and integrate with the Company systems Own relationships with banks for good treasury management and credit facilities to support the development of the business Secure and manage all licenses required for conducting business Requirements and Skills 15 years of relevant work experience in managing the Accounting Tax Compliance function at a fast growing company with sizeable field operations Should have built managed a team of 10 individuals Familiarity with the banking system Solution orientation and strong problem solving skills Willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
