As a key member of the customer service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of patient data entry, resolving third-party exceptions, and providing exceptional customer service to clients and patients. Key Responsibilities Utilize Walgreens' prescription data entry methodology and guidelines to process new patient enrollments by entering data into the appropriate system. Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing. Research and obtain missing prescription data, and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and handle correspondence with patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed. Resolve third-party exceptions by investigating, gathering information, creating claims, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements. Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and in other locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as necessary. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Basic level computer skills, including: Starting up and shutting down a computer. Using a mouse to point and click. Starting and closing programs. Switching between programs. Saving files. Printing documents. Accessing information online. Basic browser skills, including: Opening a browser. Typing URLs in the correct location. Using a search engine. Bookmarking a webpage. Navigating using back/forward/stop buttons. Completing forms online. Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, organizing documents). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a retail or call center environment. At least 1.5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state as approved by the State Board of Pharmacy or a widely recognized certification agency. Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction. Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, organizing documents). Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
