You will design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards using Power BI, while supporting data modelling and pipeline development. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage data analytics to inform decision making, and contribute to optimizing our financial reporting and planning mechanisms.<br><br><strong>Major Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Data Visualization and Analysis<br><br></strong><ul><li> Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize complex data sets and provide actionable insights for decision-making. </li><li> Analyze complex data sets to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, patterns, and outliers. </li><li> Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M (Power Query) for advanced calculations, transformations, and data manipulations within Power BI. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Dashboard Customization and Optimization<br><br></strong><ul><li> Customize dashboard layouts, visualizations, and interactivity features to meet business requirements and user preferences. </li><li> Optimize dashboard performance and data refresh schedules to minimize load times and ensure responsiveness. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Data Modeling and Integration<br><br></strong><ul><li> Support development, maintenance, and optimization of data models, including semantic models, to ensure accurate and consistent reporting. </li><li> Apply SQL and Python to support data preparation, automation, and pipeline development. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Testing, Governance, and Security<br><br></strong><ul><li> Conduct thorough testing and validation of Power BI dashboards and underlying data flows to ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity. </li><li> Implement data governance policies and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Continuous Improvement<br><br></strong><ul><li> Explore opportunities for process automation, predictive analytics, and advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning. </li><li> Apply knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks) to enhance efficiency and scalability. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Education And Experience Requirements<br><br></strong>Jr. FP&A Business Analyst<br><br><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field of study (computer science, statistics, finance, or related discipline). </li><li> 3 - 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a Power BI Developer role or similar quantitative/IT role. <br><br></li></ul>Sr. FP&A Business Analyst<br><br><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field of study (computer science, statistics, finance, or related discipline). </li><li> 6 - 8 years of professional experience, preferably in a Power BI Developer role or similar quantitative/IT role. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Knowledge And Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li> Jr. FP&A Business Analyst</li><ul><li> Strong understanding of data manipulation and data transformation techniques (DAX, M, SQL). </li><li> Exposure to Python and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks) preferred. </li><li> Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and deliver actionable insights. </li><li> Excellent communication and collaboration skills. <br></li></ul></ul>Sr. FP&A Business Analyst<br><br><ul><li> Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic model design, and scalable reporting architecture. </li><li> Proficiency in DAX, M, SQL, and experience with Python and data engineering concepts (pipelines, cloud platforms like Databricks). </li><li> Ability to apply advanced analytics techniques (forecasting, predictive modeling, machine learning) to derive actionable insights. </li><li> Strong understanding of financial processes and ability to translate business requirements into data analytics solutions. </li><li> Excellent communication and collaboration skills. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Total Rewards/Benefits<br><br></strong>For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
