Position Details:

Position: Pharmacist

Number of Posts: 08

Qualification:

1) Educational Requirements:

  • (i) Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university or institution OR
  • (ii) Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university or institution AND a minimum of two years’ experience as a Junior Pharmacist in Government, Government Undertaking, Board, hospital, dispensary, or as a Pharmacist/Medical Representative in a Pharmaceutical company under the Companies Act, 2013.

2) Computer Knowledge:

  • Should possess basic computer knowledge.

3) Registration:

  • Must be registered with Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (under Pharmacy Act-1948).

4) Language Skills:

  • Should have proficiency in both Gujarati and Hindi.

Age Requirement:

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 35 years (as of the last date of application)

Salary:

  • Initially, a fixed salary of Rs. 31,340/- per month for the first five years (starting from 15/4/2017).
  • After five years of satisfactory service, eligible for regular appointment in pay matrix level-5 scale 29200-92300 as per 7th Pay Commission.

Computer Knowledge Requirement:

  • Candidates must provide a certificate/mark sheet from a recognized training institution demonstrating basic computer knowledge.
  • Diploma/Degree or Certificate Course in Computer Knowledge from a Government-recognized University or Institution is acceptable.
  • Candidates with Computer as a subject in Class-10th or Class-12th Examination can also apply but must provide the necessary certificates before appointment.

No Objection Certificate (NOC):

  • Candidates currently employed in Government/Semi-Government/Government-Owned Corporations/Companies of Gujarat Government may apply, but they must submit an NOC from their Appointing Officer along with the application.

Citizenship Requirement:

  • Candidates must be citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or meet specific criteria for Indian origin individuals from certain countries. Eligibility certificates may be required in some cases.

Application Form:

  • Separate applications required for multiple advertisements.
  • Application fees: Rs. 300/- for female and reserved category candidates, Rs. 600/- for non-reserved category male candidates.
  • Reserved category candidates must submit necessary documents.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.

Educational Qualification:

  • Educational qualification must be possessed as of the last date of receipt of the application.
  • Qualification must be obtained from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Original and self-attested copies of mark sheets required at the time of document verification.

Experience:

  • Experience considered as of the last date of receipt of application.
  • Experience counted from the date of acquiring qualifications.
  • Detailed experience certificates on institution letterhead required, self-declarations and affidavits not accepted.
  • Experience during study period and part-time, daily, apprenticeship, trainee, salaried, and other roles not counted as valid.

Important Provisions:

  • Financial provision by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat.
  • Candidates serving in other organizations must resign from previous employment upon selection.
  • Tenure of posts subject to approval of the State Government.
  • Final merit list based on 100% weightage for written examination results.
  • Application errors may result in cancellation.
  • Equivalency of qualifications may require orders/authorization proof.
  • Sports marks awarded for national/international or inter-university competitions.
  • Selection Committee’s decision on institution validity is final.
  • Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Junagadh, can adjust post numbers.
