Position Summary

Drive growth by leveraging US energy market insights, building relationships with key clients, and pursuing solar development opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams, craft customer acquisition strategies, and prepare business presentations. Travel, especially to the US, and solar industry experience are advantageous.

Core Responsibilities

  • Presence of market knowledge and ability to analyze industry scenarios
  • Represent CIR to engage, develop and maintain relationships with potential or existing industry customers including large corporate houses, solar developers, financial institutions
  • Ability to consistently pursue customers for new and repeat opportunities for solar development, engineering, and construction services
  • Formulate a customer acquisition strategy and deploy it in coordination with the organizational goals
  • Work closely with Strategy, Commercial, Legal, Accounts and Development teams.
  • Responsible for preparing presentations on business development, strategy and internal management meetings.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in solar will be an added advantage
  • Travelling is expected to be involved
  • Education Requirements

  • Should hold an MBA from a Tier-I / II Indian B-School. MBA from top tier US B-School will also be considered
  • Any additional credentials that reflect an ability to operate out of the box such as having background in finance, operations, strategy will be considered a plus
  • Technical Skills and Experience

    Software Proficiency :

  • MS Office
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus
  • Project Management :

  • Experience in managing design projects from conception to implementation
  • Ability to coordinate with other engineers and stakeholders
  • Renewable Energy Systems :

  • Understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into existing infrastructure
  • Experience

    7-10 years of demonstrated success in business development / sales, with a focus on solar energy projects.

    Psychosocial Skills / Human Skills / Behavioural Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Management experience a plus.
  • Must be a go-getter with an enterprising attitude
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion.
  • Technical understanding of clean energy business processes
  • Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
