The <b>Inbound Supervisor/Manager</b> is a critical role in the success of starting our new Fort Worth, Texas distribution center. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and will use a systems and process-driven approach to impact the success of the operation. This leader will be responsible for all aspects of the new Distribution Center’s inbound operation, including Receiving, Returns, Cycle Counting, and Inventory Control.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Hands-on, working manager to plan and direct all inbound activities in the distribution operation, from receiving dock to shelf stock, including, but not limited to, performance management, attendance management, training, employee engagement and retention, and employee development.</li> <li>Manages the Receiving team in the unloading of freight trucks, counting of pieces/packages/pallets, and signing of Bills of Lading according to company policy, ensuring all product received is accurately recorded in ERP/WMS Systems; Communicates discrepancies to Accounts Payable, Sourcing/Purchasing, or other manufacturing facilities.</li> <li>Ensures the timely and accurate processing of customer product returns.</li> <li>Ensure all inventory-related transactions are completed and adequate stock is available in the pick and overstock locations.</li> <li>Ensures high inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, physical inventories (if needed), timely inventory adjustments, and vendor returns.</li> <li>Conducts daily status meetings with team to review performance and to develop an action plan for the day.</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring all company and safety policies are enforced and up to date.</li> <li>Develop and implement new processes/procedures to improve overall distribution operations and maintain consistent inventory control standards.</li> <li>Measure and drive improvement in key performance indicators to improve accuracy and efficiency.</li> <li>Collaborate with supervisor and management teams to facilitate improvements.</li> <li>Constantly monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of materials and products with ongoing analysis of logistical problems and producing innovative solutions.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Minimum of an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred</li> <li>5-10 years of work experience including oversight of other managers/supervisors/leads</li> <li>Outstanding communication, leadership, and motivational skills; capable of doing so with a larger team</li> <li>Extensive understanding of all material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory and returns processes</li> <li>Professional sense of urgency</li> <li>Exceptional math, problem solving, and analytical skills needed</li> <li>Willing to work overtime when necessary</li> <li>Must be able to get along well and communicate with a variety of people and work as part of a team</li> <li>Ability to communicate professionally at various organizational levels</li> <li>Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce</li> <li>Must be comfortable working with or around material handling equipment</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <p><b>Benefits:</b> NSI Industries offers a competitive salary, performance-based and attendance bonuses for certain roles.
