If you thrive in a high-energy, high-impact environment, you're in the right place.<br><br><strong>The Role: </strong>Insurance Integration Lead (Engineering)<br><br>As the Insurance Integration Lead, you’ll own the technical roadmap for insurer integrations - powering everything from product onboarding to policy issuance, claims, and renewals. This role goes beyond coordination - it’s an engineering-first position, responsible for architecting and delivering complex integration frameworks that connect multiple insurers and products with Upstox’s core platform.<br><br><strong>What You'll Own<br><br></strong>Lead and own end-to-end insurer integrations — APIs, workflows, and data flows across multiple insurance partners.<br><br>Design and develop scalable microservices-based systems for product, policy, and claims management.<br><br>Partner with insurance companies and internal stakeholders to define integration requirements, SLAs, and workflows.<br><br>Build reusable frameworks for faster onboarding of new insurers and product lines.<br><br>Manage a small engineering team; mentor developers and ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable code delivery.<br><br>Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to align integrations with user journeys and business goals.<br><br>Drive continuous improvement in integration standards, testing frameworks, and monitoring processes.<br><br><strong>Who You Are<br><br></strong>8 - 10 years of strong engineering experience, with at least 5 years in insurance integrations team management (policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, claims).<br><br>Hands-on experience working with insurance aggregators or brokers<br><br>Deep expertise in backend technologies: .NET Core, C#, Web APIs, Microservices, REST/ SOAP, SQL/ PostgreSQL.<br><br>Familiarity with API Gateways, RabbitMQ, and microservice orchestration.<br><br>Experience leading a small engineering team or project squad.<br><br>Strong understanding of insurance product architecture, distribution, and compliance workflows.<br><br>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, product-led environment.<br><br>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science.<br><br><strong>Why this Role Rocks <br><br></strong>Be part of Upstox’s next big leap — simplifying insurance for millions of Indians.<br><br>Build complex, real-world integrations that power scalable, high-impact fintech systems.<br><br>Work with a passionate team that values innovation, ownership, and speed.<br><br>See your code directly influence how India protects what matters most.<br><br>By applying for this position, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Prospective Employee Privacy Notice, which outlines how Upstox collects, uses, and protects your Personal Information ('PI').
