Part-Time Remote Medical Assistant & Patient Coordinator

Location: Remote (Must be within a 2-hour drive of Snohomish County, WA - ZIP 98223)
Position Type: Part-Time with Full-Time Growth Potential (24 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (includes 1-hour unpaid lunch break, 6 hours paid per day)
Equipment Provided: Company computer provided

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a dynamic, motivated Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator to join our growing healthcare practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care, eager to learn, and ready to grow with our team. Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay:

  • $20/hour for the first 90 days
  • $25/hour after 90-day probationary period

Performance Bonuses:

  • After 6 months: Quarterly bonuses based on new patient enrollment
  • Bonuses are paid quarterly for all new patients you successfully onboard. You will earn 10% of the collected amount from each new patient's first appointment

Primary Responsibilities

Patient Communication & Coordination:

  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently
  • Respond to patient text messages and portal inquiries
  • Handle new patient inquiries and guide them through the enrollment process
  • Provide exceptional customer service that reflects our practice's values

Administrative Support:

  • Complete and process patient intake forms
  • Monitor and respond to patient portal messages daily
  • Coordinate with laboratories and pharmacies
  • Submit superbills and documentation to insurance companies
  • Handle faxing, scanning, and general administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Patient Enrollment (Key Revenue-Generating Role):

  • Convert prospective patients into scheduled appointments
  • Guide new patients through the onboarding process
  • Ensure a smooth first appointment experience

Required Qualifications

Medical Background:

  • Medical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems and patient portals
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and medical billing

Communication & Sales Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, empathetic approach
  • Proven ability to build rapport with patients quickly
  • Sales aptitude with the ability to effectively communicate value and convert inquiries
  • Professional phone manner and active listening skills

Technical Proficiency:
