Part-time Staffing Coordinator (Per Diem Providers)

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful confirmation,
communication, and coordination of healthcare staffing assignments. This includes confirming
provider schedules, managing cancellations or call-offs, and ensuring seamless shift coverage for
client facilities during Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays.

Reports To: Staffing Manager / Director of Operations
Employment Type: Part-Time (Weekdays, Weekends Holidays) (8 am PST -10am PST, 2 pm

PST– 4 pm PST)

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all staffing activities after hours.
  • Confirm shift assignments with per diem healthcare providers (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, etc.).
  • Document all shift confirmations, changes, and provider communications in the staffing system.
  • Communicate effectively with providers regarding shift times, locations, and expectations.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate management team when necessary.
  • Track and report cancellations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude during high-pressure situations.
  • Coordinate with on-call Manager as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Prior experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, or customer service is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in staffing software, messaging apps, and CRM tools.
  • Flexible schedule: weekends and holidays is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
