Our collective expertise results in the production of top-tier research, policy guidance, and analytical insights. </p><p>Our core research areas include programs focused on Climate Change & Energy Transition, Economy & Trade and Geopolitics & Strategic Studies. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview (Center for Economy and Trade): </strong></p><p>Center for Climate Change & Energy Transition at CRF aims to be a hub of research and expertise, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions, environmental stewardship, and climate resilience. The Center of Climate Change & Energy Transition is accepting applications for a Fellow. The Fellow will be expected to provide evidence-based insights to inform global climate policies. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><p>• Conduct in-depth research and data analysis for the focus areas. </p><p>• Lead and contribute to the creation of analytical research reports, policy papers, discussion papers and articles of the highest quality and relevance. </p><p>• Collect and analyze data from various sources to support research initiatives. </p><p>• Oversee projects and discussions, including planning, budget management, and coordination responsibilities. </p><p>• Establish a network of industry participants, collaborate with partners and other influential stakeholders to enhance CRF's events and communication efforts. </p><p>• Searching for and reviewing published literature on a research topic </p><p>• Supervising undergraduate project interns or other personnel on research-related tasks </p><p>• Assisting with manuscript or grant development </p><p>• Preparing reports or presentations </p><p>• Organise events, seminars, and workshops. </p><p>• Moderate academic discussions and policy dialogues. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills: </strong></p><p>• Master’s degree in a relevant field including engineering (electrical/mechanical/power systems/ chemical/energy) or energy economics or energy and climate etc. </p><p>• PhD in given domain is an add on advantage. </p><p>• 13+ years of work experience. </p><p>• Strong research and analytical skills. </p><p>• Desirable: Econometric Models, Energy and/or Economic Model </p><p>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </p><p>• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SPSS, R, Python, NVivo, etc). and research software is preferred. </p><p>• Ability to work/lead as part of a team as well as on own initiative. </p><p>• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously </p><p>• Strong relationship skills and team ethics. </p><p>• Excellent written and verbal (interpersonal and public speaking) communication skills. </p><p>• Authored at least 2 scholarly research publications and/or multiple op-eds during the last five years. </p><p>• Ability to adapt to new environment and deliver under tight deadlines in a professional environment. </p><p>• Ability to effectively work in a team while being able to independently drive research with minimum assistance when time demands. </p><p>• Willingness to travel for research and stakeholder engagement.</p>
