Are you an AI enthusiastwith visionary thinking to conceptualize AI-based products? We are seeking a Research Intern, AI who will work alongside SHL's AI team on cutting-edge AI/ML challenges in natural language processing (NLP), audio/speech processing, and computer vision.

This internship offers hands-on experience with advanced AI research and product development, with the potential for conversion to a full-time Research Engineer, AI role based on performance

What You Will Be Doing

Work on advanced AI/ML models in NLP, speech, and vision using deep learning.
Prototype generative AI models like LLMs, RAG, and multimodal AI.
Assist in developing and optimizing AI/ML solutions for real-world applications.
Implement orchestration frameworks and performance monitoring tools.
Collaborate on scalable ML models and their integration into production.
Contribute to data collection, annotation, and validation for better models.
Contribute to research papers and documentation with AI/ML advancements.

Essential

What we are looking for from you:
Must be available to work full-time for the next 3-6 months.
Strong coding ability, preferably in Python.
Experience with AI/ML projects through internships, research, or academic coursework.
Familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Desirable

Experience in NLP, computer vision, or speech processing.
Knowledge of Generative AI models, LLMs, and advanced deep learning techniques.
Knowledge of statistical modelling, mathematical optimization, and ML fairness principles.
