Role Overview: As a Program Quality Manager, your role is crucial in executing all quality deliverables in the new product development life cycle. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving quality issues post proto phase of new product development. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct root cause analysis of field failures in existing bus body products such as 7D and SPS. - Prepare bus body Quality Issue Bulletin (QIB) based on existing warranty, service feedback, and QRT feedback including thermal incidences and CCT issues. - Drive for closure of all issues through New Product Introduction (NPI) projects before the product reaches DR5 gate from Tata Marcopolo, ACGL, and other body builders if any. - Participate in DMU (Digital Mock-Up) review along with ERC (Engineering Release Committee) and body builder for chassis and body integration sign off before DR2. - Engage in DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), TRSO (Technical Review Sign Off), IQA (Inward Quality Audit), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), VLO (Vehicle Line Off), and Craftsmanship audit at body builder end from BETA proto fully built bus. - Lead DMU activity and action planning for the closure of issues arising during the process. - Conduct field visits for root cause analysis and action planning for failures in the newly launched vehicle. - Participate in Quality Review Team (QRT) of all bus body Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). - Align warranty for bus body parts through TMML, ACGL, and other body builders if any. Qualification Required: - Education Qualifications: BE in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering. - Relevant Experience: Preferably in new product design, development, and quality assurance with knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning). - Skills & Competencies: Functional Excellence, Customer Focus, Innovative mindset, Drive for results, Good functional and design & process knowledge of aggregates like bus body structure, seats, panels, FRP aggregates, HVAC system, Intelligent Transport System (ITS), Functional knowledge about bus body building critical processes like welding, painting, sealant application, Regulatory knowledge for AIS 052, 063, AIS 119, UBSII, DFMEA, Root cause analysis / Structured problem-solving techniques, QC tools for problem-solving, Competencies in Bus Body Industry & competition Knowledge /awareness, Automobile Industry / Auto ancillaries, CAD / PLM knowledge, Gen3 NPI process New product introduction process.,
