This position develops, implements, and optimizes comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with integrated search and reputation priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance objectives.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Senior SEO Strategy Manager partners closely with digital marketing, web development, content strategy, analytics teams, and external agency partners to drive performance, enhance user engagement, and improve organic search visibility.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>SEO Strategy and Execution:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute enterprise-level SEO strategies aligned with organizational growth, digital visibility, and reputation management goals</li> <li>Manage keyword strategy, on-page and off-page optimization, and content alignment to improve organic search performance</li> <li>Support website migrations, enhancements, and technical initiatives to ensure SEO best practices are maintained</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical SEO and Optimization:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct technical SEO audits and implement recommendations related to site architecture, indexing, crawlability, and performance</li> <li>Ensure adherence to SEO best practices across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and structured data (schema markup)</li> <li>Partner with web development teams to optimize site performance, accessibility, and search engine compliance</li> </ul> <p><strong> Analytics and Performance Management:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze SEO performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms</li> <li>Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve search rankings, traffic, and user engagement</li> <li>Develop and deliver reports and dashboards to communicate performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders</li> </ul> <p><strong> Cross-Functional Collaboration and Advisory:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with digital marketing, content strategy, analytics, and external partners to align SEO initiatives with broader campaigns</li> <li>Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and competitive positioning</li> <li>Partner with leadership to support strategic planning, roadmap development, and prioritization of SEO initiatives</li> </ul> <p><strong> Governance, Standards, and Continuous Improvement:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish and promote SEO standards, best practices, and governance across digital platforms</li> <li>Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and healthcare industry regulations where applicable</li> <li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in SEO strategies and tools</li> </ul> <p><strong> Leadership and Mentorship:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance, mentorship, and project-based oversight to junior staff, team members, and external vendors</li> <li>Support knowledge sharing and capability development across the organization</li> <li>Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence</li> </ul> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> <p> </p> <p><strong> Minimum Required Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience</li> <li>Minimum of 6 years of experience in search engine optimization, digital marketing, or a related discipline</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Required):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of search engine optimization strategies, tools, and best practices including keyword research, on-page optimization, off-page / link strategy, and content optimization</li> <li>Knowledge of technical SEO including site architecture, indexing, crawlability, page performance, Core Web Vitals, and mobile optimization. Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and enterprise SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, or BrightEdge</li> <li>Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and structured data / schema markup as they relate to SEO</li> <li>Ability to develop and execute enterprise-level SEO strategies across complex, multi-domain environments</li> <li>Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical (engineering, web dev) and non-technical (content, creative, marketing) teams</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications </p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field </li> <li>Experience in a digital marketing or SEO agency environment</li> <li>experience within healthcare, academic medical centers, or highly regulated industries</li> </ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred)</p> <ul> <li>Advanced technical SEO expertise including schema markup, page performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and code-level recommendations (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, rendering)</li> <li>Experience supporting large-scale websites, domain migrations, consolidations, or multi-domain environments</li> <li>Familiarity with reputation management, local SEO, and integrated search strategies (paid + organic)</li> <li>Experience with AI-driven search optimization (generative engine optimization, AI Overviews, LLM-based search visibility)</li> <li>Familiarity with healthcare marketing compliance considerations (HIPAA, ADA/WCAG accessibility, state advertising regulations)</li> <li>Experience working with or managing external SEO agency partners</li> <li>Familiarity with content management systems and enterprise analytics platforms such as Piwik Pro, Adobe Analytics, or similar</li> <li>SEO-related certifications (e.g., Google Analytics Certification, SEMrush Academy, Moz Academy)</li> </ul> <p>Physical Requirements: Up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the workday (occasionally); lifting and carrying objects up to 25 lbs.; occasional standing and walking; occasional sitting; close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing).
