Serving as a bridge between the Publishing and Social teams, you will ensure our editorial goals are brought to life through innovative, platform-specific strategies.</span></p><p></p><p><span>This role partners closely with the Manager, Off-Platform Programming & Strategy to deliver a unified and impactful social presence that drives audience growth, engagement, and click-through to our owned destinations. </span></p><p></p><p><span>The Social Manager’s key remit is to develop and execute bespoke strategies that focus our efforts on the platform opportunities most likely to deliver meaningful reach and results for Tudum content. This includes building and nurturing relationships with key platforms such as Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and Pinterest, while driving experimentation and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure our editorial priorities resonate across every channel.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><b>Build and Execute Platform-Specific Social Strategy:</b></b><br> </p><ul><li><p><span>Develop and implement innovative, audience-first social strategies for Publishing across emerging and third-party platforms (Discord, Roblox, Reddit, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Pinterest, and more).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Stay ahead of platform trends, features, and audience behaviors, ensuring Publishing’s strategy is always evolving and relevant.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Plan, ideate, and execute social campaigns and experiments with considerations for target audience, platform dynamics, campaign timing, creative needs, and content performance.</span><br> </p></li></ul></li><li><p><b><b>Cross-Functional Partnership and Communication:</b></b><br> </p><ul><li><p><span>Act as a bridge between Publishing and Social, ensuring Publishing goals inform platform strategies and that editorial priorities are amplified through social channels.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with Netflix Platform & Title Social teams, as well as the Manager, Off-Platform Programming & Strategy and Specialist, Prestige, to deliver a unified and impactful social presence.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Attend cross-team meetings, strategy sessions, and taskforces to ensure shared context and alignment.</span><br> </p></li></ul></li><li><p><b><b>Channel Programming & Editorial Execution:</b></b><br> </p><ul><li><p><span>Co-manage Publishing-wide channel programming (Tudum X, Threads, TikTok, IG), ensuring the right stories reach the right audiences at the right time.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee content calendar management, scheduling, and creative approvals—serving as one of the final eyes on content before it goes live to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and the Netflix voice.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop multi-title and always-on promotional narratives based on audience behavior, channel tentpoles, and editorial priorities.</span><br> </p></li></ul></li><li><p><b><b>Audience Growth, Engagement & Insights:</b></b><br> </p><ul><li><p><span>Drive targeted audience discovery and engagement, pulling users into deeper experiences with Netflix Publishing (site visits, sign-ups, participation).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Track performance and share back insights and learnings from social data, leveraging analytics to inform strategy and scale successes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Identify and scale new opportunities for Publishing on emerging platforms, leveraging platform insights and trends.</span><br> </p></li></ul></li></ul><p><b><b>Background and Specific Skills:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>7+ years in social media management, audience development, or digital partnerships, brand partnerships, consumer products preferably within a major media, publishing, or entertainment brand.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Deep knowledge of what works across various social platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution efforts.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven experience building and executing social strategies for digital publishing or media brands, with a focus on emerging and third-party platforms.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sharp editorial judgment and the ability to balance business needs with audience resonance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience working on broad, multi-platform brand campaigns and delivering nuanced, insight-based social strategies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, pilot new initiatives, and scale successful programs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Highly collaborative, able to build strong relationships and work across many internal cross-functional teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Able to prioritize and manage several projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, adhering to shifting deadlines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Data-driven, with a track record of using insights to inform strategy and measure success.</span></p></li><li><p><span>High tolerance for change and the capacity to accomplish significant work in a dynamic environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Respect, understanding, and enthusiasm for Netflix culture.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
