In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building, growing, and executing the hiring process for our India region. Simultaneously, you will elevate our standards for diverse talent pools, exceptional candidate care, and the recruitment of best-in-class talent.<br><br>You will report to the <strong>Director, People Partnerships,</strong> located in and will work from our Bengaluru office on a hybrid basis.<br><br><strong>You Will<br><br></strong><ul><li>Develop and execute the India hiring strategy aligned with global workforce plans and business priorities with experience in recruiting for Technical, GTM and G&A roles.</li><li>Lead a team of recruiters and TA partners to deliver high-quality hires across engineering, customer success, product, and G&A functions.</li><li>Partner with senior global stakeholders, including the CHRO, functional VPs, and PE sponsors, to forecast talent needs and shape workforce planning.</li><li>Operate effectively in a matrix reporting environment, balancing global direction with local execution.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor to business and HR leaders, influencing decisions through data, insights, and market intelligence.</li><li>Build strong relationships across regions to ensure consistency, alignment, and best-practice sharing.</li><li>Drive TA metrics and KPIs (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, candidate experience, DEI representation, etc.) and report outcomes to executive stakeholders.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing recruiting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.</li><li>Partner with global Talent Acquisition, Enablement and Operations, PBPs, and Compensation teams to ensure consistent hiring frameworks and equitable offers across regions.</li><li>Lead employer branding and talent marketing initiatives in partnership with Global Employment Brand to position Smartsheet as an employer of choice in India’s tech ecosystem.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in recruiting operations through automation, analytics, and process innovation.<br><br></li></ul><strong>You Have<br><br></strong><ul><li>10–15 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience in SaaS or technology companies.</li><li>Proven success leading recruiting teams in global and matrixed environments, reporting to or partnering with international stakeholders.</li><li>Experience scaling teams in high-growth, PE-backed or fast-paced organizations.</li><li>Strong understanding of India tech and G&A talent markets, compensation dynamics, and sourcing strategies.</li><li>Data-driven mindset with proficiency in ATS and analytics tools (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, Gem).</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or HR specialization preferred.</li><li>Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis</li><li>Fluency in English is required<br><br></li></ul><strong>Tools You'll Use<br><br></strong><ul><li>Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, etc.)</li><li>Workday HRIS</li><li>Greenhouse (ATS)</li><li>Smartsheet</li><li>Gem</li><li>Slack</li><li>Zoom</li><li>Others as needed<br><br></li></ul><strong>Get To Know Us<br><br></strong>At Smartsheet, your ideas are heard, your potential is supported, and your contributions have real impact.
