Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Sr. Sales Engineer. You will be responsible for managing technical engagements with Tier 1 & Mid-Tier MSOs and Telcos, exploring the use of Harmonic’s Cloud Native vCMTS & PON platform. You will report to VP of Sales, Strategic Broadband Accounts, NA. LocationRemote – this position is 100% remote based in the Canada What you will be doing:<ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Position and sell Harmonic’s broadband products, solutions and services</li><li>Work with the customer to develop and document end-to-end network solutions aligned with their business requirements and industry best practices.</li><li>Understand customer requirements and collaborate with the product and engineering team to address issues and deliver feature requirements.</li><li>Work with customers to integrate Harmonic’s Cloud Native solution in their existing network and support them to migrate to a next generation DAA network.</li><li>Collaborate with and provide customers and prospects technical, experience-based leadership to design and architect solutions to meet their needs</li><li>Deliver technical sales-oriented presentations to technical staff at customers and prospects</li><li>Work with Harmonic partners to train and understand technical key advantages of Harmonic’s Cloud Native solution</li><li>Position Harmonic as the industry thought leader.</li><li>Work closely with Sales, and Product leaders to ensure that coverage and activity matches the business need.</li><li>Assist with technical responses for RFx’s.</li><li>Use of Harmonic’s standardized applications (e.g. SalesForce, JIRA, Confluence) to optimize the execution of the position deliverables.</li></ul> What you should have:<ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>BS /BA. A minimum of 10 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required within the market sectors and accounts targeted.</li><li>Experience in the Cable MSO industry</li><li>Understanding and experience with data networking infrastructures, converged interconnect networks, and the associated technologies: DOCSIS, Routing/Switching, L2/L3, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing Protocols (BGP/ISIS/OSPF, etc.), MPLS, LDP, VPN, Multicast, cloud technologies, DHCP, Network Troubleshooting</li><li>Deep knowledge of common toolsets for configuration, management, and monitoring of OLT’s including but not limited to CLI, SNMP, NETCONF, RESTCONF, Telemetry, Kafka </li><li>In depth knowledge of CIN networking and DOCSIS standard.</li><li>Experience with Linux, k8s, docker</li><li>Strong customer facing and relationship management skills with appropriate negotiation and influencing skills.</li><li>Ability to develop creative technical sales positioning and solution selling methods to suit demanding sales situations.</li><li>Use of Harmonic’s standardized applications (e.g. SalesForce) to optimize the execution of the position deliverables.</li><li>Ability to build relationships with all functions and areas of the company both within region and globally as well as a track record of respected and trusted relationships with customers in the industry.</li><li>Experience in AI and AI applications.</li><li>Excellent technical writing and speaking skills.</li></ul> TravelYou are required to travel about 50 - 75% Pay & BenefitsFor this role, the estimated base salary range is between $140,000 - $155,000 CAD.
