<div><strong>Job Summary and Responsibilities</strong><br/><p>As our Pre-Anesthesia Nurse, you will help our ensure our patients are prepared for anesthesia and surgery.</p> <p> </p> <p>Every day you will conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, collect patient health histories, and review diagnostic testing.  You will collaborates with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team embers to optimize patient safety, reduce surgical delays, and promote high-quality patient care. </p> <p> </p> <p>To be successful in this role, you must use initiative in carrying out recurring tasks, develop collaborative relationships with members of the clinic at all associated facilities and maintain your knowledge and skills levels by attending educational offerings as required.</p> <ul> <li>Provides pre-anesthesia nursing care by telephone, within scope of RN licensure, to patients referred to the assigned work unit (e.g. Surgery/Procedures).</li> <li>Prior to pre-anes appointment, identifies/clarifies physician’s orders and submits for requests (e.g. Pacer orders/Anti-Coag/Risk Assessment).</li> <li>Reviews electronic medical records (EMR) and interviews patients to make an initial assessment and completes appropriate nursing documentation.</li> <li>Complete pre-anesthesia assessments, including but not limited to a review of medical history, medications, allergies, and prior anesthesia experiences.</li> <li>Review lab results, diagnostic imaging, and consult notes to identify potential surgical or anesthesia risks.</li> <li>Triages patients and communicates urgent patient needs to the provider.</li> <li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anesthesia guidelines, perioperative standards, and institutional policies.</li> <li>Provides patient education and ecourages patients' compliance and provides preventative care measures congruent with health status.</li> <li>Provide patient education regarding anesthesia, surgical procedures, medication instructions, and NPO (nothing by mouth) guidelines.</li> </ul> Job Requirements <p>Must reside in state of Washington.</p> <p> </p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Associate Of Nursing and 1-3 years Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, upon hire or</li> <li>Bachelors Of Nursing, upon hire and</li> <li>Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and</li> <li>Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire </li> </ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Perianesthesia, perioperative, critical care, or PACU experience, upon hire</li> <li>Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse, upon hire</li> </ul> Where You’ll Work </div>
