Our Client, an international e-commerce company with a strong presence in the USA, is looking for an experienced Amazon Product Research Specialist to identify potential product opportunities on Amazon, analyze niches, and support decision-making through structured research. The focus of this role is identifying promising product opportunities on Amazon, analyzing niche and market potential, and developing simple, practical improvement ideas. The role also includes sourcing and communicating with suppliers in China. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with Chinese suppliers, and the ability to identify practical product improvement opportunities based on market and competitor analysis. About the Company: It is a fast-growing small company that manages Amazon accounts and runs its own brand, offering eco-friendly products. Key Responsibilities - Conduct in-depth Amazon product research using tools such as Helium 10, Amazon Brand Analytics, and other relevant platforms. - Identify and present a shortlist of 10–20 potential product opportunities. - Analyze each opportunity based on estimated sales and revenue, competition level, review count, customer feedback, main keywords, traffic sources, organic and sponsored rankings, competitor strength, brand recognition, pricing, margins, and market potential. - Create clear and detailed research reports that allow management to compare opportunities and make informed decisions. - Identify simple product improvement opportunities based on customer feedback and competitor weaknesses (e.g. color variations, size options, packaging, bundling, or listing improvements). - Contact suppliers and manufacturers in China to request quotations and product information. - Compare suppliers, pricing, MOQs, production capabilities, and lead times. - Communicate with factories regarding product specifications and samples. - Maintain organized files, supplier records, product information, and research documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in Amazon product research or similar analytical role. - Strong experience using Helium 10, Amazon Brand Analytics, and other Amazon research tools. - Proven experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturers in China. - Ability to analyze markets, competitors, keywords, customer reviews, pricing, and profitability. - Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. - Ability to create clear, structured, and detailed spreadsheets and reports. - Strong written English and supplier communication skills. - Creative thinking with the ability to suggest practical and simple product improvement ideas. - Ability to independently manage multiple research and sourcing tasks. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in the toys and children's products category is a plus. - Experience with product compliance, testing, packaging, and quality control is an advantage. - Experience working with private label products or Amazon FBA suppliers is a plus.
