THE OPPORTUNITY The VP, Design & Construction - Center of Excellence will lead and oversee all aspects of global restaurant design and ensure designs support top-level business objectives. This role will lead, influence and work across all business verticals to ensure designs align with branding, account for technology innovations, and can be replicated across the globe. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organization while leading a team in one of the highest visibility verticals within the business. WHAT YOU’LL DO Leads and oversees the Center of Excellence (COE), the CCC Development Lab and manages all internal COE Design & Construction staff (Global) Accountable to ensure all restaurant designs adhere to and celebrate design principles and are appropriately branded (Global) Leads and establishes special and strategic initiatives impacting the restaurant environment and collaborates with the necessary interdisciplinary partners to complete these projects Lead through influence with Design & Const staff to source, select, and evaluate all new materials, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and equipment vendors to be consistent with the brand standards Select outside services that ensure accomplishment of the company objectives and Center of Excellence goals Responsible for the overall Design & Const functions, including Design & Const relationships with all external consultants, general contractors, and design vendors (Global) Lead through influence with Development field teams to ensure new concepts are appropriately translated into roll-out packages (Global) Lead team to influence all aspects of in-restaurant guest experience and the creative direction and execution of the restaurant environment (Global) WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering or related field required. Master's degree in Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering or related field required. Architectural licensure preferred, but not required. 15+ years of leadership, progressive experience and field knowledge in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Restaurant and/or Retail Design. 8+ years of supervisory experience in Design and/or Construction. Proficiency in applicable design tools (Revit/AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe CC Suite, Hand Sketching). Demonstrate an understanding and hold experience in restaurant operations, finance, and marketing. Proven leadership skills and a history of managing high-functioning creative design teams. Ability to influence and work cross-functionally with all departments in order to deliver positive outcomes and business results. Be able to work independently on all aspects of restaurant design, development & deployment. Be able to evaluate components of project costs relative to architecture & design. Effective communication and advanced project management skills. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have solid planning, collaboration and decision-making skills. PAY TRANSPARENCY A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $275,000-$325,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
