If this sounds like a good fit for you, check out </span><span>boomi.com</span><span>  or visit our </span><span>Boomi Careers</span><span> page to learn more.</span></span></p><p> </p> <p><strong>How You'll Make An Impact</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Tax to lead and manage all aspects of our global corporate tax function.  As a key member of the Finance leadership team, the Director of Tax will be responsible for leading a high-performing tax function while developing and executing tax strategies, ensuring compliance of all domestic and international subsidiaries, and optimizing the company’s global tax position while supporting its growth.  With that, this individual will be responsible for areas such as tax planning, cash tax forecasting, compliance, reporting, and strategy across the global organization, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.</p><p>This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in SaaS, cloud computing, or digital product-based business models.  While not required, the candidate will preferably have experience with partnership taxation, private equity fund structures, managing tax matters for investment partnerships or similar entities, and IPO’s.</p><p>This position reports to the Vice President of Accounting, will be located in the U.S. working within eastern time zone hours, and will manage both internal and external resources that are geographically dispersed.</p><p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s tax function, including compliance for both income and non-income taxes, planning and forecasting, tax provision, and strategy.</li><li>Manage the coordination, review, and completion of federal and state income tax filings and related analysis and support, including those required for international subsidiaries, partnerships (IRS Form 1065), Schedule K-1s, and other required filings.</li><li>Responsible for accounting for income taxes in the U.S. and international subsidiaries; manages the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision and reviews individual company tax provisions prepared by tax staff, both internal and external; performs top level consolidation and review; prepares footnote disclosures included in annual financial statements and stand-alone annual statutory reports; ensures that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.</li><li>Manage the preparation and review of tax provisions, disclosures, and related tax footnotes for quarterly and annual financial statements.</li><li>Effectively manage sales & use and property tax functions.</li><li>Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for cash tax payments; analyze and explain actual variances versus forecast.</li><li>Manage activities of external outsourced tax advisors and service providers across the globe including review and sign off on all deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality of service.</li><li>Review and sign off on work product from external service providers to ensure alignment with internal expectations, tax positions, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise on global withholding tax matters, including analysis of customer and vendor obligations and tax treaty application between various jurisdictions.</li><li>Advise executive leadership on the tax implications of strategic initiatives, including M&A, restructurings, and international expansion.</li><li>Collaborate with external advisors on complex tax structuring for M&A transactions and new investment vehicles and entities, including limited partnerships, LLCs, and joint ventures.</li><li>Monitor and assess the impact of tax legislation and regulatory developments, ensuring the company remains in compliance and is strategically positioned.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, HR, and Operations to provide guidance pertaining to tax and accounting tax issues, ensure proper entity structuring, intercompany transactions, and related planning strategies including those to support cash management objectives.</li><li>Management of transfer pricing policies and management fee arrangements.</li><li>Represent the company in all audit matters, both direct and indirect tax related, and maintain interaction with federal and local taxing authorities; be the primary point person for all enterprise annual audit tax requests and inquiries.</li><li>Oversee tax technology systems and ensure accurate tax data management.</li><li>Maintain appropriate internal controls related to tax compliance and related reporting.</li><li>Manage and mentor internal tax team members, fostering growth and development.</li></ul><p><strong>The Experience You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.</li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Master’s degree in Taxation required.</li><li>15+ years with combination of public accounting and industry experience with 10 years minimum in tax, including international tax exposure; exposure to partnership taxation preferred.</li><li>Deep understanding and experience with U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws and technical tax reporting for financial statements (ASC 740).</li><li>Experience managing outsourced tax providers, including Big Four or other tax advisory firms.</li><li>Experience with cash tax forecasting.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team and overall tax function.</li><li>Exceptional written and oral communication skills to provide strategic direction and partner effectively with leadership of the company and associates at all levels of the organization; ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.</li><li>Strong leadership, project management, analytical, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple and competing deliverables/activities simultaneously to meet deadlines and objectives.</li><li>Demonstrated track record of driving automation and process improvement in tax functions.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems, tax engines, and electronic tax reporting.</li></ul><p><strong>Bonus Points If You Have</strong></p><ul><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license & Master’s degree in Taxation.</li><li>Software industry experience (SaaS, cloud computing, or digital product-based business models).</li><li>Familiarity with private equity or investment fund structures.</li><li>Understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocations, basis calculations, waterfall modeling, and investor-level tax considerations.</li><li>Experience with tiered partnerships and blocker entities.</li><li>Demonstrated track record of driving automation and process improvement in tax functions.</li><li>Experience with the following applications: NetSuite, OneSource.</li></ul><p><em>Aren’t sure if you’re a match? Base compensation for this position ranges from $210,000 - $250,000. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
