My client, a fast-growing CPA firm are seeking to hire a Tax Director to Manage a Complex Client List and be part of a huge growth phase the firm is going through. This position is fully remote but requires 5 weeks a year to travel upstate NY through deadlines. Job Description As a Tax Director you will lead our tax department, overseeing all tax-related matters, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance while maximizing our clients' financial positions. This role is pivotal in driving excellence, fostering a collaborative environment, and delivering high-quality tax services. Responsibilities • Lead the tax department, providing strategic direction and guidance to a team of tax professionals. • Manage a portfolio of high-profile clients, offering expert advice on complex tax matters and ensuring client satisfaction. • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize clients' financial positions while adhering to tax laws and regulations. • Conduct research on tax laws, stay updated on changes, and provide guidance to the team and clients. • Collaborate with other departments to offer comprehensive client solutions and cross-functional expertise. • Mentor and coach team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional development. • Continuously improve tax processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
