The Boeing Company’s Boeing Enterprise Security (BES) organization is currently seeking a Global Cybersecurity Operations Lead to join the Global Cybersecurity team in Arlington, VA.

The Global Cybersecurity program is dedicated to the assurance of cybersecurity regulatory framework compliance, in-region security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) advisory and oversight, and strategic cybersecurity solutions in support of enabling global business operations.

The Operations Lead is responsible for designing, transforming, maintaining and optimizing the Global Cybersecurity and External Cybersecurity Assurance team's operational capabilities while managing the day-to-day operations. Maturity of the team's Business Information Security Officer (BISO) program is essential, which will require the Operations Lead to support regional BISO objectives and activities (as a "floating global BISO") as needed.

Regional BISOs serve as the primary point of contact between the BES organizational functions and our Boeing entities, business programs, and stakeholders across their respective regional responsibility scope.  The BISO is the region's trusted cybersecurity partner and is responsible for facilitating the authority to operate (ATO) in a region, while maintaining strategic relationships with various organizational leaders/stakeholders, and providing cybersecurity advisory, project support, and promoting cybersecurity awareness.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Global Cybersecurity team Project Management (Azure DevOps, MS Teams)

  • Coordination of various security assessment activities (internal, regulatory, customer, and Boeing site assessments)

  • Optimization and maintenance of tea m operations, resources, tools (SharePoint sites, various data registries, assessment/project trackers, reports, Power BI dashboards)

  • Drive streamlined data management and reporting automation through Microsoft (MS) Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)

  • Lead the management of our team's information assets, craft innovative templates/forms, develop comprehensive playbooks, and optimize communications channels for enhanced collaboration

  • Support BISOs with key Information Technology (IT) projects and business imperatives across all global regions as needed in a dynamic environment

  • Responsible for key leadership/stakeholder engagement to establish reliability and maturity of our BISO trusted partner network

  • Support deputy Global Cybersecurity Manager responsibilities (as needed)

  • Advance the Global Security organization's objectives and key results

  • Develop and deliver engaging Cybersecurity Awareness presentations and sessions as needed

  • Responsible for consulting on external customer requests and inquiries regarding Boeing’s cybersecurity posture (standardized responses to customer assessments, information security agreements/contracts, Request for Information (RFIs)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership overseeing programs and teams, authorizing risk decisions, coordinating stakeholders, and improving security and compliance

  • 5+ years experience working with risk management, regulatory and compliance topics

  • 5+ years of experience building, scaling, and operating governance, risk compliance, assurance, or control programs in a highly regulated, innovative environment

  • 5+ years of experience Business Intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience with agile project management

Preferred Qualifications(Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Proven managerial experience leading operations of a critical security program and the strategic direction

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, Security+ or ISO/IEC 27001 certification

  • Strong executive presence and business acumen, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to present technically complex security risks, issues, strategies, and concepts in business terms to executives/leaders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience leading/supporting aligning IT, security, and business objectives across diverse global operations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $142,250 – $189,750
