<strong><em>Actively Interviewing for Phlebotomist to join top diagnostic client in Suwanee, GA! <br><br></em></strong><strong><br><br></strong><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II who will be responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontamination. The role involves updating patient information and collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures. The successful candidate will be able to explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Perform blood draws using straight and butterfly needles.</li><li>Fully understand and interpret physicians' orders.</li><li>Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.</li><li>Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.</li><li>Ensure accuracy by checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.</li><li>Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperatures.</li><li>Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.</li><li>Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Essential Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>3+ years of recent phlebotomy experience.</li><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Proficiency in customer service and specimen processing.</li><li>Experience with 30+ patient draws per day.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Fluency in Korean, Mandarin, or Vietnamese is a plus.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Work Environment<br><br></strong>The position is based at a prominent healthcare client with six locations, and requires fluency in Korean, Mandarin, or Vietnamese as a plus. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and involves coordination with three providers.
