OpenMoves is hiring a Creative Director!

As a Creative Director at OpenMoves, you’ll play a hands-on role in concepting and creating digital campaigns while helping guide creative direction across projects. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams, including paid media strategists, copywriters, designers, and developers.

This role blends concept development, design execution, and strategic thinking, with the responsibility of managing projects from kickoff through launch and optimization.

  • Position: Full-Time Creative Director
  • Location: Remote (Toronto-based)
  • Compensation: $85K–$95K CAD + Bonus
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
  • Perks: 18+ paid holidays per year, PTO starting at 20 days (prorated for the first year)
Responsibilities
  • Lead ideation and concept development for paid media campaigns across social, search, and programmatic
  • Design and direct high-performing creative across ads, landing pages, and digital experiences
  • Manage projects from kickoff through execution, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with goals
  • Partner with clients to translate business objectives into strategic creative solutions
  • Collaborate with strategists and analysts to align creative with KPIs, testing frameworks, and campaign goals
  • Develop and optimize landing pages with a focus on UX/UI best practices and conversion performance
  • Execute hands-on design work across static, motion, and video assets
  • Lead and manage CRO testing initiatives to improve performance and user experience
  • Integrate AI tools into creative workflows (image generation, video, and content development)
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and feedback to designers to support growth and development
  • Contribute to brainstorms, RFPs, pitch decks, and new business initiatives
Job Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in a creative role within an agency or marketing environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing paid media creative, landing pages, and digital campaign work (portfolio required)
  • Proven ability to concept and execute performance-driven creative
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI, layout, typography, and conversion-focused design
  • Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies, testing methodologies, and execution
  • Experience with motion design and video editing (After Effects, Premiere, or similar)
  • Familiarity with AI tools for creative production (image, video, content)
  • Ability to think strategically and connect creative decisions to performance outcomes
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across cross-functional teams
