SAP ABAP Consultant with S/4 HANA Implementation


Location: Hyderabad, India


Experience: 12 to 16 years


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or participate in SAP ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) development and implementation projects within the S/4 HANA environment.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements to meet specific business requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented ABAP code following SAP best practices.
  • Perform code reviews and unit testing to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in ABAP programs.
  • Stay updated on SAP ABAP best practices and new developments, especially in the S/4 HANA context.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), ALV reports, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA development and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of ABAP development tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with SAP data dictionary, ABAP Workbench, and debugging tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules, such as SD, MM, or FI.
  • SAP Certification in ABAP or related areas.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ABAP code.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 development.
