Grocery Data Scout Toronto - Flexible Gig / Remote

Other Jobs To Apply

The Gist:
Want to get paid to shop?

We are looking for Field Data Collectors to help us map the future of Canadian grocery shopping. Think of this like being a "Street View" driver, but for grocery aisles. You set your schedule, you pick your hours, and you help build the data that powers the next generation of shopping apps. This is the perfect side hustle for students, night owls, early birds, or anyone looking to earn extra cash while getting their daily steps in.

Why You’ll Love This Gig:

  • Total Flexibility: Work up to 10 hours a week on your own timeline. Mornings, evenings, or weekends—it’s up to you.

  • Free Groceries: Yes, really. You’ll get free grocery perks just for doing the job.

  • Get Paid to Walk: Skip the gym membership. This is an active role where you’ll be on your feet, moving through stores, and staying active.

  • Tech-First: No clipboards here. You’ll use cutting-edge mobile tools to capture data.

Requirements

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Mapping the Aisles: You will visit major grocery stores in your neighborhood to capture images and data. Imagine you are creating a digital map of the store shelves.

  • Data Collection: Using your smartphone, you’ll collect accurate pricing and product availability data to help us build retail solutions.

  • Field Operations: You are the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring our data reflects the real-world shopping experience.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Stamina is Key: This isn't a desk job. You must be comfortable walking and standing for the duration of your shifts (often 2-4 hours of continuous movement). If you love hitting 10,000 steps a day, this is for you.

  • Transportation: You need a reliable way to get to various grocery stores in your city.

  • Tech Savvy: You need a modern smartphone and the ability to troubleshoot basic app issues on the fly.

  • Attention to Detail: The data needs to be crisp and clear. You take pride in getting the shot right the first time.
